Purpose
The Anniversary App is part of the overall people module and is - like the other features in this module - designed to make it easier for the church and parishioners to stay in touch. With ChurchDesk Anniversary App, the motivation for this contact becomes special days that are significant in the parishioner's life - for example, baptism or wedding anniversaries. The pastor or another employee can easily keep track of when it's time to send a personalised greeting and manage this from the people module, where he/she is used to sending newsletters, emails or text messages to church contacts.
ChurchDesk Anniversary App is available to all customers on medium and large subscriptions.
Setup & settings
But before you get this far, it's a good idea to take a look at setting up ChurchDesk Anniversary App to suit your specific needs.
You can find the settings for ChurchDesk Anniversary App under ChurchDesk Settings, as shown below:
Here you can choose what type of anniversaries you want or don't want to mark in your parish, and whether certain anniversaries (for example, 10 years after confirmation or 12.5 years after the wedding) should be noted as particularly important.
Notifications
It is also under ChurchDesk Settings -> People -> Anniversary App that you can set up which users within your organisation should receive a notification 14 days before the special anniversaries. This means you won't be overloaded with notifications and can always find all special days in the overview in the people module.
Data collection
The basic requirements for ChurchDesk Anniversary App to work as intended is that you have data on these anniversaries registred on your contacts. Churches will already have some information about this via form responses. Of course, the data mass will naturally increase over time. As usual, data can also be imported or entered manually.
Sending a greeting
When you are ready to send a greeting, access the Anniversary App via People -> Anniversary, where you will see a simple overview of upcoming anniversaries with basic information on the individual contacts, as well as the option to filter on various types of anniversaries or to see all.
You can then click ‘Actions’ and choose what type of message you want to send. You then author the message in the same way as other message types in ChurchDesk and send.
