Introduction to the Studio module
Studio is the home of additional communication and AI functionalities in ChurchDesk.
It is available as a part of Medium and Large plans, or as an additional purchase for customers on Basic and Small plans.
Where to find Studio
Studio is not - as fx. the ChurchDesk Calendar or your website - a regular module that you can access through the main menu. Rather, it consists of added communication and AI functionality to the already existing modules: Website, Calendar and People.
Website
In the website module Studio customers have access to 301 redirects, SEO Checker, Multiple Language functionality, more pre-defined content on page and row level, a wider range of modules to build your website from, automated Alt-Text generation for event and blog images and AI text generator.

Calendar
In the calendar you can do three things with Studio: create posters, create invites and create worship lists.

People
In the People Module you can create the Studio newsletter, and it is also here possible to access the invite-functionality mentioned in the section on the Calendar. Note also that in the Studio newsletter you can create AI-generated text and images.

Functionalities overview
The following is an overall description of the functionalities listed above. If you want to dive deep into each or any single function, we recommend you consult the articles dedicated to each topic.
- 301 Re-directs
If you have any pages/urls that are old and/or not in use anymore, 301 re-directs offers a good tool to make sure, that you do not loose this traffic by directing any visitor using these to your new and updated pages/url's.
- SEO Checker
The SEO Checker presents a nice and comprehensive overview of the status of your website regarding Search Engine Optimisation and clearly highlights where you need to make improvements in order to make sure that your church and events are the once being shown, when people in your area search for information online.
- Multiple Languages
For some churches it is desirable to be able to offer multiple language option on their website - fx. for tourists to better access the information they need. This functionality makes this possible while also creating a good user experience shuffling between the languages.
- Pre-defined Content
On page and row level all installations come with a set number of pre-defined content elements (user friendly and aesthetic designs). With Studio you get even more options in this regard, which makes it easier to design your website and also - among other things - secures that designs by default are adjusted to the various viewports (desktop, tablet and phone).
- Additional Modules
All installations come with a vast number of content modules (most obvious: text, image, button etc.). With Studio you get a wider palette of options - most notably Search Module and various social modules for fx. Facebook and Instagram.
- Automatically Generated Alt.text on Events and Blogs
Utilising widgets in ChurchDesk makes it very easy to maintain and update your website with blogs and events from the calendar. For web accessibility reasons doing this makes it necessary to add alternative text to all of the images used in blogs and events. With Studio this is automatically taken care of and you do not need to spend time and effort going through all your images and come up with texts. Our AI function adds alt.text to all public image featured in a blog or event widget on the website.
- AI Text Generator
We all know the situation: we need to add a few lines of text or a more substantial paragraph to the website, but lack the immediate inspiration both in terms of actual content and the tone etc. Studio users can utilise our AI Text Generator and by adding a few directory points and style indicators you will get suggestions for your needed text.
- Posters
With a few clicks you can create a nice looking poster for the church or other church facilities. Posters are event-based and thereby removes any double work and minimises the risk of errors. If you have a form attached to the event, this will automatically feature on the poster as a QR-code.
- Invites
With a few clicks you can create a nice looking invite send as an email to your contacts. Invites are event-based and thereby removes any double work and minimises the risk of errors. If you have a form attached to the event, this will automatically feature on the invite as a clickable button.
- Worship Lists
With worship list functionality you get additional design options for creating nice looking printable lists of upcoming services and other events. These can be distributed at events or posted on the walls of your church facilities.
- Studio Newsletter
With the Studio newsletter you get full freedom regarding the design of your parish newsletter. Compared to our standard newsletter which is available on all standard subscriptions, the Studio newsletter makes it possible to incorporate elements from your local design manual and/or add a wider range of content elements to your newsletter - fx. video preview.
