How do I insert a link in the footer of my website? (e.g. for the accessibility statement)



If you want to create a link to an accessibility statement, this can simply be done in the footer of the website.

An accessibility statement is the church's public declaration of the extent to which the website complies with the applicable laws and regulations on web accessibility.

There are various ways to insert a link in the footer, but the easiest and quickest is to duplicate the line in the footer by hovering over the line, clicking directly on the line or on the small blue ‘Line’ box and then selecting ‘Duplicate’:



You can recognise the footer in which you are working by the purple colour that surrounds the entire footer. It also says ‘FOOTER - All pages’.

You now have a duplicated line underneath that is identical to the other one. If applicable, you should now delete the modules you do not need, but keep one text module as it is used for linking. To delete the modules, click on them and select the small red rubbish bin:



Double-click on the text module to be able to edit it:



You can now change the text to ‘Accessibility statement’.

Next, make sure the text is highlighted and select the link icon at the top of the text editor bar. Then select Link:



Now insert the link for the accessibility statement in the third field or upload a corresponding PDF file and finish with Insert:



Finally, click on the green button with the tick:



Before publishing, we recommend that you click on ‘Preview’ so that you can check that the link is working correctly:

If you are satisfied with the result, you can finalise with ‘Publish’:
