  • Create New Page
  • Page Tree/Page Structure
  • Deleting a Page
  • Hiding a Page from Navigation
  • Not Indexing a Page (Hiding from Search Engines)
  • Not Publishing a Page

Create New Page

Options 1 and 2 require just a few clicks in the Designer. You create a new page in the main navigation by clicking Pages > Manage Pages > Add New Page.

To add a new page to your website, you have several options:

1. Use a Page Layout

When you click the Add Page button, a window will appear with a variety of different page layouts you can choose from. Hover your mouse over a layout to see a mini-preview. Click on a layout to add it as your new page.

2. Start with a Blank Page

You can also add a blank page (with only a single empty row) if you want an "empty" starting point. On the Add Page overlay, you'll find the Blank Page section at the bottom of the menu on the left side.

Tip: Keyboard shortcut - create a new page with the keyboard shortcut ⌥ + N (Mac) / Alt + N (PC).

3. Copy an Existing Page

It can be very helpful to copy an existing page and then only adjust the content and page settings, for example, if you have created a great page layout that you want to reuse without having to recreate each element individually.

To duplicate a page, proceed as follows:

  1. Open the pages in the editor's main navigation on the left side of the screen.
  2. Hover your mouse over the page you want to duplicate.
  3. Click the Settings button on the right side of the page.
  4. Click Duplicate.

Page Tree/Page Structure

1. Where do I find my current pages?

You can find an overview of your current pages and languages on the left in the Designer's main navigation bar. When you click on "Pages", a menu will open with an overview of all your pages. The page tree regulates the order of pages visible in your website's navigation. For example, if the "Activities" page is second in the list, it will also be displayed as the second page in the navigation.

2. Changing the Page Order

To the left of each page title, you will see six small dots. Drag these dots to move the page to a different position in your website's structure.

3. Adding Subpages

You can also create subpages in the same way. The page tree functions like a hierarchical navigation system where you can have pages and subpages. To add a subpage, you must either convert an existing page into a subpage or add a new page and then make it a subpage. Drag the page from its existing position to a position below another page that is intended to be the "parent" page. When a page is added as a subpage, it will be indented below its parent page.

Deleting a Page

To delete a page, click the "Settings" button that appears to the right of the page title when you hover over it. Select Delete Page from the menu. A window will appear prompting you to confirm the action.

You have the option to set up a redirect directly to permanently redirect clicks coming from the deleted page to another existing page on your website. Select the page you want to redirect traffic to and click Delete and Redirect. If you do not want to redirect traffic and simply want to delete the page, select nothing from the list and click Delete.

Hiding a Page from Navigation

Hiding a page means that the page is hidden from the website's navigation in the viewports you select. The page remains part of your website, but visitors can only access it if they know the exact URL of the page or if you link to it from other places on your website, such as in the footer or via a button.

To hide a page, click the Settings button on the right side of the page you want to hide and select Edit Settings. Navigate to Hide Page in Navigation and select the devices on which the page should be hidden. The page will be hidden once you have checked the corresponding boxes and saved your settings.

Not Indexing a Page (Hiding from Search Engines)

If you do not want a page to appear in search engine results, you can exclude it from indexing. This is useful for pages that should only be accessible to a specific group of people or that are still under construction.

To not index a page, click the Settings button next to the page you want to hide and select Edit Settings. Go to Content > SEO > check the box for "Do not index page". Save your changes for the setting to take effect.

Not Publishing a Page

Sometimes you want to work on a page without it being publicly visible yet. For this, you can save a page "offline", i.e., "as a draft".

To not publish a page, click the Settings button on the right side of the page you want to hide and select Edit Settings. Go to Content > SEO > check the box for "Do not publish page". Save your changes for the setting to take effect.
