Blocking and Deleting Users
When deleting users who have a login in ChurchDesk, various data will be removed or affected.
Therefore, we recommend blocking users instead of deleting them whenever possible.
This way, all relevant information remains available, but the person no longer has access to the system.
Only organization administrators can block and delete users.
Step by Step:
First, you block the user:
Click on your name in the top right.
Select Users.
Search for the user to be blocked/deleted in the list.
Click on Actions.
Select Block.

Open the User Status in the top right.
Deselect " Active", the field will automatically close. Open it again.
Select Blocked to display all blocked users.
Click on Actions.
Select Remove user.
Confirm the deletion by entering the user's name.
Click Remove

Impact of Deleting a User
When a user is deleted, the following data will be affected:
We recommend downloading the data beforehand or simply blocking the user to retain the data in the system.
Personal data (name, email, etc.) → will be removed.
Absence reports → absences entered in the calendar (could be relevant for annual reports).
Prevention reports → files and information related to the person will be deleted.
Time tracking reports → all entered data and related Excel files will be lost (could be relevant for annual reports).
Events and service bookings → the user will be removed from calendar entries and services. The events created by the user will remain.
Groups → the data created by the person in the group remains. The name of the deleted user will be removed from the data after 60 days. For blocked users, the name will remain visible.
Forms → forms created by deleted users will remain.
Reactivate:
If you want to reactivate a blocked user, you need to do the following:
Please note that permissions and group memberships must be manually restored after reactivation.
Click on your name in the top right.
Select Users.
Change the User Status filter next to the search bar to Blocked to display all blocked users.
Search for the user to be unblocked/deleted in the list.
Click on Actions.
Select Remove block.
