Insert a PDF file into a blog post

Embedding a PDF File in a Blog Post This article shows you how to upload a PDF file to ChurchDesk and then link it in a blog post. This allows your blog visitors to directly access important documents. We will guide you step-by-step through the upload process in the Groups module and the subsequent linking in the blog post.

Uploading the PDF File in the Groups Module

In the first step, upload the PDF file in the Groups module. Click on "Upload files"

Drag the desired file into the upload field or access your computer's file library. Assign the file to a group and set the visibility to "Public".

Only publicly visible files can then be selected and linked in the blog post.

Linking the PDF File in the Blog Post

In the second step, go to the "Blog posts" section and write your blog post. You can find an article with all the important information about this here.

Now, add a note about the download in the body text and highlight the sentence or a single word of the sentence. Then click on the link icon.

A window will open. At this point, you could also insert any URL. To upload the PDF file, click in the top box and enter the file name to quickly find the document.

You can also choose at this point whether the link should open in a new tab.

Click "Insert", provided you are satisfied with the blog post and all settings, and then click "Save".
