# SMS Packages - Pricing information and Order Form


## SMS Packages in ChurchDesk: Pricing, Ordering, and Balance Information
With ChurchDesk, you can easily send SMS messages to your contacts or users – for example, for last-minute updates, reminders, or event announcements. To do this, you need to have an active SMS balance.

| As a new ChurchDesk customer, you automatically receive 100 free SMS.

In this article, you will learn:
* How to check your current SMS balance
* Available SMS packages and how much they cost
* How to order a new package
* What happens when your balance runs low

## Checking your current SMS balance
You can view your remaining balance directly in the ChurchDesk settings:
**ChurchDesk Settings > People**
At the top left of the info box, you will see the number of SMS still available.

When your balance is running low, an **orange warning banner** will appear automatically. Once the balance is used up, SMS sending is **automatically stopped**. No additional costs will be incurred.

## SMS Package Prices
Prices in GBP respectively US Dollars:

* 1000 SMS - 0% discount  - £/$ 60
* 2000 SMS - 5% discount - £/$ 114
* 5000 SMS - 10% discount - £/$ 270
* 10.000 SMS - 15% discount - £/$ 510

| Unused SMS do not expire and can be used indefinitely.

## Ordering an SMS package

Once you’ve submitted the form, the SMS package is usually added to your ChurchDesk account **within 1–2 business days**. You’ll receive an invoice from our team at the billing address we have on file.

## Message length and SMS usage
* One SMS consists of **up to 160 characters**.
* Longer messages are automatically split into multiple SMS.
* A counter will show how many SMS your message requires as you type.
* Example: If your message is 2 SMS long and you send it to 50 recipients, **100 SMS** will be deducted from your balance.
