# Filter events in the Calendar

With calendar filters, you can easily customize the view of your own personal calendar and display appointments in a specific church or category. In addition, you can quickly and easily get a monthly overview and the availability of rooms.

## Create Your Own Calendar View with the Calendar Filter
You can find the filters on the left side of the calendar. There are four filterable areas as well as a search function, which you can use individually and in combination:

1. **My Calendars:** In this section, you can view your own calendar, which only includes events that concern you (privately created events, events to which you have been added as a user). You can also display all subscribed calendars (e.g., public holidays) here.

2. **Users & room calendars: **In this section, you can add individual resources and users for whom you want a quick overview. Another Churchdesk user or your church building could be a resource, for example, and if you search for it, you will find all events for which the church as a building has been booked. The selection remains until you remove the individual areas with the X.

3. **All absences**: Here you can see the absences of users. You can select the groups you are a member of and display the absences of the members within them.

4. **Parish Calendar: **In the parish calendar, you have the option to filter by the various categories. If a **checkmark** is displayed in the congregation calendar, then all event categories are activated. If the church calendar contains a **minus sign** (-), this means that one or more event categories are deactivated. If the **field is empty**, it means that all event categories are deactivated.

6. **Calendar Search: **You can use the search function to search for categories, resources, and users. Enter the search term and press the Enter key. All available options will now be displayed above.
