Create and insert Cookie- and privacy policy on your website

What is a privacy policy?



A cookie and privacy policy is a description of how to process data from users who visit the website.

Should we have a privacy policy?



Yes, everyone should prepare a cookie and privacy policy, describing how you process data. This includes Google Analytics as well as data collected through forms both through the church website or physically in the church.

How to create and insert your privacy policy



Before you can insert the church's privacy policy, your privacy policy must exist as (1) a page on your website or as (2) file in your ChurchDesk file archive.

1. Create privacy policy on the website



Go to the website
Click on "+ Create content" and chose "Page"
Give the site a title and insert your privacy policy
Scroll down to the bottom and save the page

2. Upload privacy policy to ChurchDesk Filers



Upload your privacy policy as a fil to your ChurchDesk Files
The file needs to have the visibility "Publish on website"
Open the file, by clicking the title
Click on the link icon in the top right corner
Copy the file link

Click your name in the top menu
Go to ChurchDesk Settings
Under General, you will find the Privacy Policy section
Insert the link from your file or website
Click 'Save' at the top right
